Darwins Fiches in Trouble?

Darwins Finches from the Galapagos Island were facing a bad problem. Philornis Downsi, a species of parasitic flies. The invasive parasitic flies would live in the birds nests and suck blood from the finches.
Scientists came up with a solution after  one scientist saw the birds taking bits of a laundry line to bulk up their nest. The answer? Cotton balls laced with permethrin, commonly used to treat head lice in humans. The pesticide does no harm to the bird or its offspring but kill the parasite. The Finches are having this problem in the first place because the parasite is invasive, and the finches have not built up a natural resistance through evolution yet.
